All students have an opportunity to experience field trips each year. We believe in a well rounded educational experience that takes us to adventures around Central Ohio.
Part of our mission is to nurture children physically. The Fall Funathon lets kids compete, play, explore and get tired the old fashion way, by being outside among friends!
Honoring our elders is important to us. We take one day every fall to invite our grandparents in for a special Columbus Children's Theater Production. Afterwards, families venture off campus and enjoy lunch together.
Our children must learn the importance of recognizing and thanking the brave men and women that protect our freedoms. Each year every student in the school participates in honoring veterans and active service personnel. The assembly includes essays, poems, songs and worship.
We believe partnership between family and school must be strong in order for children to reach their full potential. Every Thanksgiving season we foster these partnerships by inviting all family members in to enjoy a home-cooked feast prepared and served by the pastoral staff of Shepherd Church.
family fun nights
Every month we schedule family nights that everyone can enjoy. We meet and eat at local establishments to help raise money for the school and foster relationships. Fun nights also include the occasional ice rink or fun house.
fine arts night
Every spring we invite all families in to showcase our talent. Led by our fifth graders, the students present a full length musical in the sanctuary. Following, family members all take a art gallery walk through the halls of the school.
back to school bash, trunk 'r treat, shamrock shindig, egg hunts & more
Sometimes you just have to party! We enjoy great crowds here at Shepherd and celebrate together at our annual events. We also participate in the events that take place at Shepherd Church.
Remembering those who walked before us is a tradition at Shepherd. Each spring we host a homecoming chapel and welcome back all alumni and their families.
got water? awards
In John 4:14 Jesus is referred to as Living Water. We strive to be followers who are filled with his spirit. The Got Water? awards are an important time for us to recognize Christ-Likeness in our students.
academic awards Assembly
The last day of school is reserved to honor students who have achieved excellence in the classroom. Family members join us for a special chapel tribute each year.
After the Academic Awards Assembly, it is off to the pool for the entire school! All students, staff and families celebrate the end of the year and kick of summer in grand fashion.
